The single comes on the heels of Judah & the Lion’s performance this past Sunday, May 1st at Nashville SC’s inaugural opener at GEODIS Park where the band played a short set that included the official club anthem “Never Give Up On You” – a song Judah & the Lion wrote for the club and has been a staple ever since.

Forget the butter-churner and the lasso. This Oklahoma! has no need of them. Following a Broadway run and a U.S. tour, Daniel Fish and Jordan Fein’s Tony-winning production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical comes to London’s Young Vic like a hipster cowboy riding into town. In their audacious interpretation, the heart and soul of this American classic offer themselves up in a new, disturbing guise. For what comes into view at the end of its three hours is a vision of American communality forged not only in camaraderie, but also in conflict and blood.
by A.A. Cristi - May 5, 2022

Yet perhaps at no time during its vaunted and venerated history has Oklahoma! been so polarizing as it has become now, thanks to the 2019 Broadway revival directed by Daniel Fish which is touring the provinces. Setting up shop on the expansive stage of Andrew Jackson Hall at Nashville’s Tennessee Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, May 3, for an eight-performance run through next Mother’s Day, Fish’s compelling vision for the timeless work has elicited more heated conversations and varied responses than one might expect from a 79-year-old warhorse of a musical.
