Endearing and earnest, MTW’s new production of 9 TO 5 - THE MUSICAL---which continues performances at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach through February 26---is a pleasing musical comedy (adapted from the hit film) filled with hilarious dialogue, outrageous silliness, and, of course, really catchy tunes via Dolly Parton.

The Billie Holiday Theatre - one of the nation’s preeminent arts and culture organizations and currently celebrating its milestone 50th anniversary - has announced that it will present the world premiere of  Black Genius in the American Theater: A Concert Reading on Friday, February 18th and Saturday, February 19th.

Emerging Artists Theatre (EAT) is kicking off their 30th anniversary season by changing the name of their bi-annual New Work Series to Spark Theatre Festival NYC. The company will also return to premiering new works Off-Broadway in Fall 2023.

Tony & Grammy Award winner and Academy & Emmy Award nominee Leslie Odom, Jr. will star in the new Broadway production of the classic American comedy Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch by the legendary Ossie Davis.

Eric Bogosian’s 1 +1, a new play, will have its off-Broadway premiere at SoHo Playhouse. Performances begin February 23 and run through March 19. Opening night is set for February 27.

The full cast has been announced for the upcoming Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring Tony and Grammy-nominated multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) and Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford (Sunday in the Park with George).

Casting has been announced for the European première of Head Over Heels at the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester set to the music of the iconic 1980's all-female rock band The Go-Go's.

While the series' recurring cast includes Tom Selleck, Bridget Moynahan, Donnie Wahlberg, and more, guest stars have included Audra McDonald, Kelli O'Hara, Joanna Gleason, Adrienne Warren, Jinkx Monsoon, Norm Lewis, Norbert Leo Butz, and more. CalArts Center for New Performance (CNP) announces the world premiere of Etta and Ella on the Upper West Side by Adrienne Kennedy (Broadway's Ohio State Murders), with direction by Monty Cole. Running for three nights from Thursday, February 23 through Saturday, February 25, 2023, Etta and Ella marks the second world premiere production of CNP's 20th anniversary season.

The Midnight Company announces it 2023 five-show season that includes two world premiere productions. The Season opens on March 1, 2023 with the world premiere production of JUST ONE LOOK based on the life and career of Linda Ronstadt at The Blue Strawberry. Midnight Company continues its season with THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD KELLY at The Kranzberg Black Box  May 4th -20th,  THE YEARS at The Chapel July 13th-29th, and YOU MADE ME LOVE YOU at The Blue Strawberry July 26th – August 9th.  Midnight Company closes its season with a production of THE LION IN WINTER at the .ZACK October 5th-21st.

The Black Box has announced its next main stage show, an under-produced masterwork: Edward Albee's The Play About The Baby. The show opens on November 10 at The Black Box, 49 East Palisade Avenue in Englewood, NJ with tickets on sale now.

On November 2, 2022, The New York Landmarks Conservancy will host its 29th Living Landmarks Celebration at The Plaza.  This year's honorees are Rev. Dr. Calvin Butts III, Andreas C. Dracopoulos, Marlene Hess, Earl Monroe, Charlotte Moore and Ciarán O'Reilly, Faith Ringgold, and Oscar Tang. 

MUSE/IQUE will conclude its adventurous yearlong concert series, L.A. Composed: A Festival of Los Angeles Music. Each concert of L.A. Composed focusses on a different street and the music that is associated with it. Sunset on Sunset, a musical journey into the center of L.A.'s soul, will be performed Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13 at 7:30pm at historic Union Station.

​​​​​​​Due to a positive Covid test by one of the actors in our current show Thumbs, Charlotte's Off-Broadway is cancelling the shows on Oct 19, 20, 21 and 22, but extending the run to add shows on Nov 2, 3, 4 and 5, 2022.
