Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Metamorphoses. This co-production with the Guthrie Theater is led by nationally and internationally renowned writer and director Mary Zimmerman.

The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks) has announced casting for DirectorFest 2019: The 35th Annual Directors Festival, the only festival in the United States exploring the art of contemporary stage directing. DirectorFest takes place at various locations around NYC: New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street), The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas), LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (31-10 Thompson Avenue, Long Island City), and Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street). The Actors' Gang has announced an extension of 'Johnny Got His Gun' at the Ivy Substation, adding two performances, a matinee performance on November 11th, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and Veteran's Day and an evening performance on November 14th. The stage adaptation of Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo's war novel, Johnny Got His Gun, written by Bradley Rand Smith and directed by Tim Robbins, began previews on October 6th and opened October 13th.

The Drama Desk award-winning TADA! Youth Theater will present Sleepover, a hilariously modern musical, from November 16 to December 2, 2018. Sleepover tackles all the hilarious and hairy situations in the glorious stage of tween-hood. While Simone frets about not fitting in because she's new to NYC and doesn't know anyone at the party, Mia worries about whom to invite. As for the boys? They're plotting a way to crash the party.

A new series for the 10th anniversary concert season brings Canadian trailblazers, each with a unique voice and perspective. The series continues with Canadian saxophone and flute master Jane Bunnett & Maqueque All-Stars on November 30. Bunnett once again brings the soul of Cuba to the hearts of Canadian music lovers with current and former Maqueque band members, including vocalist Dayme Arocena.

The Actors' Gang announced today that the stage adaptation of Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo's war novel, Johnny Got His Gun, written by Bradley Rand Smith and directed by Tim Robbins, will kick off The Actors' Gang 2018/19 Season from Saturday, October 6th to Saturday, November 10th, 2018. The press opening is Saturday, October 13.

Tickets are on general sale today for Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Diaries 2018 at nytw.org, with ticket prices ranging from $50-140. NYTW is committed to making tickets available to every production via its CheapTix initiative. For this special concert series, NYTW will partner with TodayTix to offer a limited number of tickets for $25 via a digital lottery.

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional theatre, is proud to announce casting for its first production of the 2018-19 season, Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights, playing Oct. 16-21 at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

'Danny and the Deep Blue Sea' by John Patrick Shanley will be presented at Under St. Marks Theatre from October 18th through November 4th with Thursday through Sunday performances. The 62nd BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express® today announces its full programme, featuring a diverse selection of 225 feature films from both established and emerging talent. This 12-day celebration of cinema illustrates the richness of international filmmaking, with films to delight and entertain audiences, and also films that probe and interrogate issues of significance.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) will present Mandy Patinkin in Concert: Diaries 2018. The concerts will take place at the Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street) Wednesday, October 10 through Sunday, October 28, 2018. Tickets will be available to NYTW members and donors beginning at Noon EST on Wednesday, September 5 at NYTW.org. Limited tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, September 20.

Mint Theater will open Days to Come by Lillian Hellman on Sunday August 26th. Performances have been extended through October 6th at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street).

Performance Space New York Announces THE POSTHUMAN SERIES, its second themed season of performances and events, beginning Fall 2018. Following the conclusion of its East Village Series, which looked inward to contemplate the past, present and future of Performance Space New York and its immediate neighborhood, Executive Artistic Director Jenny Schlenzka now gathers artists who've taken an active approach to addressing nothing smaller than the morphing state of "humanity." Inspired by thinkers like Donna Haraway ("A Cyborg Manifesto") and Rosi Braidotti (The Posthuman), the Posthuman Series continues the legacy of Performance Space New York to defy categorization and broaden the meaning of "performance," through works that simultaneously seek to question and expand the very definition of "human."

King of Cuba, a new comedy by award-winning writer Cristina Garcia, has extended through August 26th at the historic Berkeley City Club (originally scheduled to close August 19). In King of Cuba, two aging Cubanos hilariously have a go at each other. Opening night Marga was described as 'dethroning machismo,' while the house erupted as El Comandante (Marga Gomez) remarked "Nobody has bigger cojones than I do." The night then roiled with laughter as the two silver haired Cubanos 'knock each other down' verbally and otherwise.
