Known across the world for her powerful voice and perfect pitch, Lea Salonga has been announced for the role of Grace Farrell in Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Annie, one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history, which will be this summer's annual staged musical at the Bowl.  

According to Variety, Eva Green, Kathy Bates, and Ed Skrein have been cast in the science-fiction thriller “A Patriot.”

Today, Creative Time raises artist LaToya Ruby Frazier's Pledges of Allegiance flag, Flint, 1,462 days and counting man-made water crisis. The flag, which references the number of days Flint, MI residents have been without water, will be on view at sixteen cultural institutions and universities across sixteen states: Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, and Texas.

Marcie Gorman, Executive Producer & Artistic Director for MNM Theatre Company, today announced the cast of its second production in 2018, the witty musical I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, which will run July 27 to August 12 at the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse. MNM's first show this year is Avenue Q, which opens at the Rinker on May 25 and runs through June 10.

Sony Music Masterworks has announced the release of How To Talk To Girls At Parties (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack),the musical companion to the hugely anticipated new film from award-winning writer-director, John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), based on the short story by Neil Gaiman (American Gods, Norse Mythology). The album arrives at all music retailers and streaming services on Friday, May 11. Out today ahead of the full soundtrack release is the single track, 'Between the Breaths' from beloved indie-darlings, Mitski and Xiu Xiu. The A24 release of a See-Saw Films/Little Punk production, How to Talk to Girls at Parties opens in theaters across the U.S on May 25. StudioCanal UK releases the film across the UK on May 11.

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) together with The Old Globe (San Diego) in partnership with The Old Vic (London) today announced details for the Minneapolis and San Diego productions of Dr. Seuss's The Lorax, based on the book The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. The musical is adapted for the stage by David Greig (Artistic Director of the Royal Lyceum Theatre Company; recent work: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Cover My Tracks) with music and lyrics written by Charlie Fink (Frontman/songwriter for the hit musical group, Noah and the Whale (2007-2015)). The musical will have its U.S. premiere at CTC followed by an immediate transfer to The Old Globe in San Diego. H.
