Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro and the Steppenwolf ensemble announced the 2020/21 Season today. As the storied ensemble theatre company embarks on its 45th season, a lineup of thrilling plays will be featured in its current home at 1650 N Halsted with the final production of the season premiering in the new state-of-the-art theatre building at 1646 N Halsted in August 2021.

Company is officially in previews on Broadway!  Following the engagement in London's West End, the new production of Sondheim and George Furth's landmark American musical, Company, directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Marianne Elliott comes to Broadway starring Tony and Grammy Award® winner Katrina Lenk as Bobbie and two-time Tony Award and two-time Grammy Award winner Patti LuPone as Joanne.

 Elvis Week 2020 will mark the 43rd anniversary of Elvis' passing and Graceland® is preparing for the gathering of Elvis fans and friends from around the world for the nine-day celebration of Elvis' life. On the evening of Wednesday, January 15, San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) launched the public phase of its capital campaign to support the National LGBTQ Center for the Arts with a reception featuring remarks from Mayor London Breed, California State Senator Scott Wiener, Honorary Chair Sharon Stone, SFGMC Artistic Director Dr. Timothy Seelig, Campaign Chair Edward Sell, and SFGMC Executive Director Chris Verdugo. The evening also featured performances from members of SFGMC, San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Company, Opera Parallèle, San Francisco Philharmonic, and Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, docent-led tours of the building, and more.

The Second City returns to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) Valentine's Day Weekend for a?oeThe Best of the Second Citya?? at 5 and 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15. Some of the company's rising stars of today will perform a sampling of the best sketches, songs, and improvisations from The Second City's 60-year history. Perfect for date night, attendees will have the chance to enjoy drink specials and free chocolates and, to make the evening extra special, add-on VIP Suite Service, including a private, pre-show cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception, with coffee and dessert at intermission.  

The Brothers – Celebrating 50 Years of the music of The Allman Brothers Band will perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City for one night only March 10, 2020. The Brothers—Jaimoe, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge, Marc Quinones—will be joined by Duane Trucks and Reese Wynans and special guest Chuck Leavell. As Little Steven looks back on his early solo career with the upcoming boxed set, RockNRoll Rebel – The Early Work, the creatively restless Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is simultaneously looking forward with a slew of new releases including a theatrical, Gene Kelly-inspired video for his song “Love Again” from his latest album, Summer Of Sorcery, and an exuberant live performance of Bruce Springsteen's “Tucson Train.” Leading up to the December 6 release of the boxed set, Little Steven aka Steven Van Zandt has been steadily releasing digital deluxe editions of the albums included over the last few weeks and today has made available his 1989 album, Revolution, which includes two rare mixes of the title track.

In one of its boldest undertakings yet, the London Philharmonic Orchestra today [28 October 2019] announces that it will present all four operas of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen over a week at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, the Orchestra's London home. The full cycle will be performed twice from 25-31 January 2021 and 5-10 February 2021.

Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theatera?'NYC's foremost theater company championing Latinx cultural expression and centering Puerto Rican artistrya?'will premiere ¡GUARACHA! on Friday, November 15. ¡GUARACHA! is an ensemble musical adapted from the acclaimed satirical novela?'La guaracha del Macho Camacho (Macho Camacho's Beat) by Luis Rafael Sánchez. In creating the book and lyrics for ¡GUARACHA!, Pregones/PRTT Artistic Director Rosalba Rolón relayed Sanchez's incisive wit and humor through original music by Pregones/PRTT's Musical Director Desmar Guevara, and performances by a Latinx acting ensemble and a live five-piece band.

Justin Sayre's camp-horror-soap-opera, twelve-episode serial RAVENSWOOD MANOR will take the Celebration Theatre stage beginning October 17, 2019 for a six-week run.
