The Second City returns to the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) Valentine's Day Weekend for a?oeThe Best of the Second Citya?? at 5 and 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15. Some of the company's rising stars of today will perform a sampling of the best sketches, songs, and improvisations from The Second City's 60-year history. Perfect for date night, attendees will have the chance to enjoy drink specials and free chocolates and, to make the evening extra special, add-on VIP Suite Service, including a private, pre-show cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception, with coffee and dessert at intermission.  

The Brothers, Celebrating 50 Years of The Allman Brothers Band, Will Perform at Madison Square Garden

The Brothers – Celebrating 50 Years of the music of The Allman Brothers Band will perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City for one night only March 10, 2020. The Brothers—Jaimoe, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge, Marc Quinones—will be joined by Duane Trucks and Reese Wynans and special guest Chuck Leavell. Ticket presales begin on January 7, with public on sale on January 10 via Ticketmaster (click here).

Little Steven to Release Career-Spanning Box Set on Dec. 6

As Little Steven looks back on his early solo career with the upcoming boxed set, RockNRoll Rebel – The Early Work, the creatively restless Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is simultaneously looking forward with a slew of new releases including a theatrical, Gene Kelly-inspired video for his song “Love Again” from his latest album, Summer Of Sorcery, and an exuberant live performance of Bruce Springsteen's “Tucson Train.” Leading up to the December 6 release of the boxed set, Little Steven aka Steven Van Zandt has been steadily releasing digital deluxe editions of the albums included over the last few weeks and today has made available his 1989 album, Revolution, which includes two rare mixes of the title track.

In one of its boldest undertakings yet, the London Philharmonic Orchestra today [28 October 2019] announces that it will present all four operas of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen over a week at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, the Orchestra's London home. In creating the book and lyrics for ¡GUARACHA!, Pregones/PRTT Artistic Director Rosalba Rolón relayed Sanchez's incisive wit and humor through original music by Pregones/PRTT's Musical Director Desmar Guevara, and performances by a Latinx acting ensemble and a live five-piece band.
