Alina Robert has been cast in a new lead supporting role in the upcoming drama series The Roar of the Butterflies, portraying one of the three legendary Dominican activist Mirabal sisters, Patria Mirabal. This will be one of the first exclusive series acquired by Star+, part of The Walt Disney Company Latin America.

Cherry Lane Theatre, the oldest continuously running Off-Broadway theatre in New York City, has a new owner, it has been announced by Angelina Fiordellisi, the theatre’s Executive Director since having acquired the building in 1996.  Cherry Lane is located at 38 Commerce Street in Greenwich Village.

Mirvish Productions mourns the passing of Peter Smith, Canada's leading theatre architect of both new performance spaces and the restoration of heritage theatres. He designed the Princess of Wales Theatre in 1993 and most recently consulted on the remodelling and restoration of the Royal Alexandra Theatre in 2016. He died on July 7, 2021 in Toronto. He was 85 years old.

The American civil war drama 'Honey in the Rock' has been performed exclusively at Theatre West Virginia since 1961. “Always…Patsy Cline” is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Cline’s friendship with a fan from Houston names Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death.
