If you’re looking for a fun evening that will make you want to sing along and dance in the aisles, check out Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre’s production of All Shook Up! The storyline of this jukebox musical by Joe DiPietro is inspired by Shakespeare’s comedies.

On March 13th & 14th, the North Carolina Symphony will be presenting HOLLYWOOD HITS. Two guest vocalists are coming down to the Triangle area to perform iconic songs from memorable movies and binge-worthy TV such as A STAR IS BORN, TOMMY, ROCKETMAN, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, ROCK OF AGES, LOVE ACTUALLY, TOP GUN, ELVIS, and more.

In a kinder, gentler world, Ben Folds’ name would be mentioned in the same breath as piano greats Billy Joel and Elton John. Like the other two, Folds is a brilliant lyricist, a fantastic pianist, and an amazing storyteller.

Just In Time’s origin story as well as overall conceit has much in common with one of Broadway’s very first jukebox musicals, which was ahead of its time. Today’s subject Megan Fairchild has been dancing with New York City Ballet (NYCB) since 2001. She started as an apprentice before joining the company as a member of the corps de ballet. In 2005 she became a principal dancer. NYCB is performing Coppélia week at Kennedy Center in the Opera House and this evening, if you choose to attend as you should, You will see Megan Fairchild perform in the role of Swanilda. If you are unable to attend this evening, the ballet plays through March 30th.

Jukebox musicals are a polarizing topic in the world of musical theatre. For fans of an artist or group whose music is used as the score of a musical, these can often be favorites due to the familiarity and affinity one might have for the songbook. Such is the case with JERSEY BOYS, the 2005 Tony Award winning musical which tells the story of the formation, success, and breakup of the hit Rock and Roll group, The Four Seasons including lead singer, Frankie Valli. This high energy, audience favorite opens the 64th season for Osceola Arts in Kissimmee and is a highly entertaining and solid production – one that is sure to please fans of the show and newcomers alike.

Theatrical Rights Worldwide just announced that performance rights for the new musical comedy, THE OLYMPIANS, are now available for licensing worldwide.
