The popular duo KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar bring a new night of music and a new tribute to Broadway composers to The Laurie Beechman Theatre.

What a wonderful way to kick off the Music Conservatory of Westchester's 90th Anniversary! With more than $335,500 raised at the Conservatory's 18th Annual Golf & Tennis Classic and Gala on Monday, June 24 at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, NY, it is truly a time to celebrate. Iconic comedian and Westchester resident Robert Klein and award-winning music composer and lyricist Marc Shaiman, were honored for their illustrious careers with musical performances by Broadway stars Kate Baldwin, Jennifer Damiano, and Gizel Jimenez, emceed by WQXR radio host Elliott Forrest.

At the Music Conservatory of Westchester's 18th Annual Golf & Tennis Classic and Gala on Monday, June 24, the White Plains community music school will celebrate its 90th anniversary with a star-studded benefit. Comedy icon and Chappaqua resident Robert Klein and musical maestro of Broadway, television, and film Marc Shaiman will be honored for their distinguished careers and contributions to the performing arts at the event to be held at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, NY.

The El Capitan Theatre puts a spotlight on its historic Mighty Wurlitzer Organ and its award winning house organist with a special concert by Rob Richards, TO DISNEY WITH LOVE, celebrating his twentieth anniversary as the El Capitan Theatre's house organist.  Richards has played this spectacular instrument at the landmark Hollywood movie palace since its installation in 1999.

In 1948 Alfred Hitchcock directed the film Rope based on Patrick Hamilton's 1929 play. Its setting was switched from London to New York, and at least for me, the psychological crime story played out in a very talky, uninteresting manner. The stage play, by the way, is rarely produced. Currently onstage at Actors Co-op, Rope is a fun, delightful romp through a game of murder that perks attention from the moment it starts, and thanks to brilliant director Ken Sawyer and his outstanding cast, it's a riveting and enjoyable evening in the theatre, far, far ahead of that Hitchcok movie. The international movement and entertainment company, Pilobolus (Executive Producer, Itamar Kubovy; Renee Jaworski and Matt Kent, artistic directors), kicks-off its first ever Pilobolus Five Senses Festival this weekend. Continuing the momentum created with the current season launch of its Music Knows No Borders series, Executive Director Thor Steingraber unveils the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts' 2018-19 Season, which features four world premieres, two American premieres, several of the world's greatest orchestras, innovative jazz programs, two tributes to Hollywood legends, Broadway classics plus artists from 18 different nations who will appear on stage at The Soraya next season.  New Subscription Series tickets will go on sale May 1, 2018.

To usher in the new opera season, San Francisco Opera Guild will produce its signature benefit event, Opera Ball 2018.

Artistic and Executive Director of Exeter Northcott Theatre Paul Jepson today announces a major new revival of Schiller's Don Carlos with Tom Burke leading the company as Rodrigo, Marquis of Posa. Gadi Roll's production is presented in a co-production with Nuffield Southampton Theatres and Rose Theatre Kingston. The production is the centrepiece of the Exeter Northcott's 50th anniversary celebrations. The production opens in Exeter on 16 October, with previews from 11 October and runs until 20 October 2018 ahead of performances in Southampton and Kingston. The production reunites Burke and Roll following their previous collaboration on Don Juan Comes Back From the War at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry.
