SOULSKIN Dance is proud to present a brand new work SATIN & SWING as part of their 4th Season in San Francisco. Dance Mission Theatre transforms into a time machine, transporting us back to the 1920s. Glitz and glam sparkle from the dingy corners of a speakeasy. Raucous jazz blares, bringing bejeweled and sequined dancing flapper girls to life. An evening of indulgence has begun. The entry notes of Prince's 'Erotic City' ring in your ears, an echo from another time. Suddenly you notice the writing on the wall. The crash of overindulgence is imminent.

The Alley Theatre announces an added Late Night Preview featuring excerpts from the new musical Lover, Beloved: An Evening with Carson McCullers by Suzanne Vega and Duncan Sheik. I caught up with Susannah Jones who plays the role of Ralphie's mother, and discussed her experience with the show, life on tour, and even her childhood equivalent to Ralphie's Red Ryder BB Gun.

Opium Productions announced today that the opening night performance (Friday, October 21 at 9pm) of Poppy Fields: In Heat, the solo cabaret debut from Poppy Fields, the Dixieland Diva and one-half of Mack & Poppy, is SOLD OUT. Andrew Lloyd Webber today announces plans for The Other Palace, the newest addition to The Really Useful Theatres Group. The Other Palace is situated less than 100 yards from Buckingham Palace and close to the Victoria Palace, hence its name.
