In honor of the release of 'Sunset Boulevard - Pt. 3' which is the latest single to be released from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Symphonic Suites album, Webber posted a video of himself playing the song 'With One Look.'

Today (May 4) in live streaming: Broadway unites to celebrate the life and legacy of Rebecca Luker, Ian Manuel comes to Joe's Pub, Next Year, Some Year returns, Renée Fleming stars in Handel's Rodelinda, and more!

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. The Broadway community mourns the loss of veteran General Manager, Producer and 2017 Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre recipient Alan Wasser, who passed away on April 14, 2019 at age 70. To commemorate his life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of the Majestic, Marquis and St. James Theatres in New York for one minute on Monday, May 20 at exactly 6:45pm.

From Friday, April 26 through Thursday, May 2, BAM presents a brand-new restoration of Nina Menkes' radical, feminist feature, Queen of Diamonds (1991). Menkes will appear in person following the 7pm screening on April 26; she will also present her celebrated talk Sex and Power: The Visual Language of Oppression with a Q&A, following the 4pm show on April 27.

Miller Auditorium is pleased to announce its 2019-20 Zhang Financial Broadway in West Michigan Series.  Kicking off the series is Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical from Nov. 15-17, 2019. Miller will also host Les Miserables, WAITRESS, Blue Man Group and CATS during the 2019-20 season. 

The Majestic Theatre announced its line-up of shows for the 2019-2020 North Park Lexus Broadway in San Antonio Season. Pop-culture phenomenon DEAR EVAN HANSEN and Disney's ALADDIN anchor the season with eight performances of DEAR EVAN HANSEN, December 17-22, 2019, and a three-week run of ALADDIN, March 25 April 12, 2020. An American icon comes home.  During the early years of his career, American composer, conductor and arranger Henry Mancini and his family lived not far from where California State University, Northridge campus now stands.  On Saturday, October 13 at 8pm, Mancini's music comes home to Northridge as The Soraya presents Moon River and the Music of Henry Mancini.  Starring Monica Mancini with special guest three-time Tony nominated Joshua Henry, Moon River and the Music of Henry Mancini features Gregg Field as Music Director and Chris Walden conducting the New West Symphony.

Broadway Sacramento announced the 2018 - 19 Broadway On Tour season at the Community Center Theater, sponsored by Wells Fargo, featuring four shows not previously presented in the series and three that are favorites of Broadway Sacramento audiences. The season features Sacramento premieres of On Your Feet!, Waitress, Aladdin, and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. Returning shows are a newly-updated Stomp, which was presented twice before by Broadway On Tour; the new Lincoln Center Theater production of Falsettos, which was presented once before; and the brand new revival of Cats, which has previously been presented twice each by Broadway On Tour and Broadway At Music Circus.

Straight from the 2018 Winter Olympic Games, many medal-winning figure skaters that competed in Pyeongchang will be teaming up with some Canadian greats to form an extraordinary cast that will perform across Canada in the STARS ON ICE tour. Beginning in 1991, the Canadian tour once featured skating legends Kurt Browning and Brian Orser, and has continued ever since with many beloved people from the figure skating world over the years.
