THE GREEN ROOM 42 will welcome back Tony Award winner Lillias White in a special new holiday concert a?oeA Lillias White Christmasa?? for three performances this season. The shows will take place on Friday, December 13 at 7:00 PM; Saturday, December 14 at 7:00 PM; and Sunday, December 15 at 9:30 PM.

Next week, FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Sydney Cabaret Festival Artistic Director Trevor Ashley opened the inaugural SYDNEY CABARET FESTIVAL with a delightful amuse-bouche of performances at the ALL STAR GALA. 

On this day, we celebrate the life and legacy of legendary Broadway choreographer and director, Michael Bennett, who passed away from complications from AIDS on this day in 1987.

Tony Award winner Lillias White returns to Broadway's Living Room on July 30 & 31. This masterful entertainer will take the audience on a musical journey full of love, light and happiness. Make Someone Happy is sure to lift your spirits and make you happy. The show features standards for the world of Broadway, film, and jazz.

Technically any venue with 500 seats or more, located along Broadway in New York City's Theatre District is a Broadway theatre, and the art that is produced in these special places is widely considered the highest form of theatrical entertainment in the world. Today, forty-one theatres are technically Broadway houses, each with their own rich history. THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will celebrate its second birthday with the return of Tony Award winner Lillias Whitewith a Valentine's Day show tonight, Thursday, February 14 at 7:00 PM. White opened the room on Valentine's Day in 2017 and returned last year for the club's special first anniversary. With music direction by Alvin Hough, Jr. (The Color Purple and Once On This Island) and direction by Will Nunziata (Our Guy, Cy and Kander & Ebb's The Act), the evening will explore the power of self-love through soul, sass, and song. Tunes include those written by Smokey Robinson, Cy Coleman, Alan & Marilyn Bergman, William Finn, Hoagy Carmichael, Betty Comden & Adolph Green, Stephen Flaherty & Lynn Ahrens, and more.

Irvine Barclay Theatre was recently informed that Bebe Neuwirth is withdrawing from her concert engagement at Irvine Barclay Theatre on March 16th. Scheduling conflicts will preclude her from being able to perform at the Barclay as planned. In her stead, the Barclay is announcing a performance on the same date, March 16, 2019 at 8pm, of 4 GIRLS 4 featuring four legendary Broadway singers and actresses.

In honor of Artistic Director Michael Kahn's final season with the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC), the opening show of the 2018-2019 Season, William Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors, will feature beloved performers, many of whom have been with the Company since the very beginning.

On this day, we celebrate the life and legacy of legendary Broadway choreographer and director, Michael Bennett.

The Wallis production of BLUES IN THE NIGHT, conceived and directed by Sheldon Epps, starts performances next week in the intimate Lovelace Theater! Artistic Director Paul Crewes snuck into rehearsal to chat with cast members Yvette Cason, Bryce Charles, Chester Gregory, and Paulette Ivory about this exciting new production.

The Muny announced today that Tony and Grammy Award- winning artist Heather Headley and Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominated artist Matthew Morrison will serve as co-hosts for The Muny's historic Centennial Gala show, An Evening with the Stars, May 18, 2018 at 9:15 p.m. at The Muny.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces the cast for its upcoming production of Blues in the Night.  Conceived and directed by Sheldon Epps, the production will feature Yvette Cason (Shout Sister Shout, Broadway and film versions of Dreamgirls), Bryce Charles (The Book of Mormon, ABC's "Black-ish"), Paulette Ivory (Disney's Aida and the West End premieres of The Lion King and Blues in the Night) and Chester Gregory (Broadway's Motown: The Musical, Hairspray and  Sister Act).  Blues in the Night will begin performances April 27 through May 20 in the Lovelace Studio Theater.

The League of Professional Theatre Women (Kelli Lynn Harrison & Lisa Rothe, Co-Presidents) will present the 2018 Theatre Women Awards at The TimesCenter (242 West 41st Street between 7th and 8th Avenues) on Friday, March 16 beginning at 6:30PM. Tickets ($65-$250) are available for advance purchase at www.theatrewomen.org.

Clive Davis told the audience at his pre-Grammy party that Jennifer Hudson will be playing Aretha Franklin in the upcoming film biopic about the Queen of Soul. According to Deadline, Franklin hand-picked Hudson to portray her.

The NAACP announced today that actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover will be presented with the NAACP President's Award at the 49th NAACP IMAGE AWARDS on Monday, January 15, 2018 LIVE at 9pm/8c on TV One.

Rehearsals begin today for The 5th Avenue Theatre's new production of Mamma Mia!, the celebrated musical that features the music of global pop sensation ABBA. The 5th Avenue Theatre is the first producing theater company in the Pacific Northwest to be granted the rights to create its own refreshed version of the show, which toured the world for nearly 20 years.

The McCallum Theatre presents Colors of Christmas on Friday, December 8, at 8:00pm. A holiday tradition at the McCallum, Colors of Christmas celebrates its 25th anniversary with Peabo Bryson, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis, Jr., Ruben Studdard and Jody Whatley.

Donica Lynn announces the fifth annual benefit concert Today's a Good Day-Walk With Me at 8:00pm on Monday, June 26, 2017 at The Mercury Theater Chicago, 3745 N. Southport Ave. All proceeds from tickets sales, donations, and raffle will be donated equally to the American Cancer Society and the American Brain Tumor Association.

The brand new musical Bandstand, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) with music by Richard Oberacker and a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker, opens tonight, April 26, at The Bernard B.
