Interestingly, Gordon initially found success as a composer of pop music writing for, and collaborating with, numerous recording artists, including Bette Midler, Quincy Jones, Alanis Morissette, Smokey Robinson and Dionne Warwick. An abiding love for musical theater led to a fortuitous meeting with esteemed director John Caird that opened up a whole new career for Gordon. BroadwayWorld caught up with him while he was still in the thick of the rehearsal process for his new show, which can be a very stressful time. In conversation, Gordon appeared surprisingly calm as he chatted about the development of a?oePride and Prejudicea?? and his plans to build new audiences for musical theater.

Citadel Theatre Company has extended the run of its 2019 holiday season production of ANNIE by two weeks, to Sunday, January 5th, giving audiences the chance to enjoy this ever-popular family favorite throughout the holiday season. The additional performances will be Saturday, December 28 at 8 pm; Sunday, December 29 at 3 pm; Thursday, January 2 at 7:30 pm; Friday, January 3 and Saturday, January 4 at 8 pm; and Sunday, January 5 at 3 pm.

New York City's Institute for American Musical Theatre has announced plans for a unique 2-year 'Creators' program. Peppa Pig's Adventure!, one of the most successful family theater tours in history, today announced the extension of its current tour to an additional 50 North American cities throughout 2020.
