Segerstrom Center For the Arts Announces 2018-19 Broadway Season Including DEAR EVAN HANSEN, Betty Buckley in HELLO, DOLLY! and More

A season of Tony Award-winning Broadway hits - Center premieres and returning favorites - await audiences during Segerstrom Center for the Arts' 2018-2019 Broadway and Curtain Call Series, plus a special Bonus Offer. Coming to the Center for the first time are Waitress, Dear Evan Hansen, Come From Away, Disney's Aladdin, and Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There will be new productions of the Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Revival Hello, Dolly! starring Broadway legend Betty Buckley, Fiddler on the Roof and Cats. The season also includes two shows with remarkable and touching stories and iconic songs, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical and The Phantom of the Opera.

The New Group Announces Final Extension of GOOD FOR OTTO

The New Group has announced a second extension for the New York premiere production of David Rabe's Good for Otto, which will now play its final performance on Sunday, April 15.  Due to demand, the company previously announced a one week extension through April 8.

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, revealed its feature film lineup championing the discovery of emerging voices and celebrating new work from established filmmaking talent. To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.

Curran San Francisco Announces Cast for the Bay Area Premiere of SOFT POWER

Today, Curran announced the cast of SOFT POWER, a play with a musical by David Henry Hwang (play and lyrics) and Jeanine Tesori (music and additional lyrics). SOFT POWER will make its Bay Area premiere at San Francisco's Curran theater (445 Geary Street), June 20 - July 8, 2018. Produced by Center Theatre Group, SOFT POWER comes to Curran after its world premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles from May 3 through June 10, 2018. Tickets for SOFT POWER are currently only available to #CURRAN2018 subscribers. Single tickets will be announced at a later date.

Producers Sonia Friedman Productions and Neal Street Productions are pleased to confirm that tickets for the Broadway engagement of Jez Butterworth's acclaimed new play The Ferryman go on sale today (March 5th) at 10AM through www.telecharge.com. Directed by Sam Mendes, The Ferryman will begin previews Tuesday, October 2nd at Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W. 45th Street, New York) ahead of the opening night on Sunday, October 21st.

It has just been announced that Phoenix Best will be taking over the role of Alana Beck in Dear Evan Hansen beginning Tuesday, March 13. Best replaces original Broadway cast member Kristolyn Lloyd, who plays her final performance on Sunday, March 11.

Rhea Perlman will appear in the role of Nora, as Rosie O'Donnell, previously announced, is unable to appear due to illness. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production will play a limited Off-Broadway engagement February 20 - April 1, with Opening Night on Thursday, March 8 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).
