Arden Theatre Company is bringing audiences back into the world of August Wilson's ten-part series, The American Century Cycle. This time audiences will journey to Pittsburgh in the late 1990s for the final play of the cycle, August Wilson's Radio Golf. This bittersweet drama of assimilation and alienation in nineties America traces the forces of change on a neighborhood and its people caught between history and the twenty-first century. This is the fifth play in the cycle that the Arden has produced.  Kash Goins, who was an actor in the Arden's production of Two Trains Running, returns to direct. August Wilson's Radio Golf runs March 23-April 16.

The Victory Theatre Center presents the West Coast premiere of Home Front by Tony Award-winning playwright Warren Leight (Side Man). Leight’s moving portrait of a post-World War II interracial marriage runs January 13 through February 19 at The Victory Theatre Center in Burbank with Victory co-artistic director Maria Gobetti at the helm. Low-priced previews begin January 7.

Good Night, Oscar starring Sean Hayes, announced that Marchánt Davis (Ain’t No Mo’), Alex Wyse (Waitress), Sam Bell-Gurwitz (Good Night, Oscar in Chicago), Postell Pringle (A Free Man of Color), and Max Roll (Mrs. Warren’s Profession) will be joining the company on Broadway.

While it is not a regular occurrence to add a show mid-season, new producing artistic director Helen Murray wanted to do something fresh for the holidays. She and Jason Lott co-adapted the familiar story. Helen is directing what has been described as 'a stripped-down, raw, and emotional look at George Bailey's life.'

Released as a bona fide surprise, American Stage is announcing a pop-up holiday show, Wonderful Life, co-adapted by American Stage Producing Artistic Director Helen Murray and Jason Lott from the classic 'It's a Wonderful Life' film. It's running at four Pinellas locations Dec. 15-24. 

The Huntington has announced the casting and creative team for the highly anticipated revival of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, directed by Lili-Anne Brown. Wilson’s masterpiece serves as the inaugural production of the newly renovated Huntington Theatre and runs from October 14 – November 13, 2022.

Redhouse Arts Center has just announced the addition of a one man show for one weekend only. Give ‘Em Hell, Harry! by Samuel Gallu, will star Redhouse favorite Fred Grandy (from the beloved “Love Boat” and former United States Representative from Iowa) and also marks the Redhouse return of Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster who will direct the show. The shows will take place for one weekend only beginning, Friday January 28th and running through Sunday, January 30th only. Grandy, a self-professed fan of the 33rd President, will step into Truman’s shoes for this one-act reprise of the 1975 Samuel Gallu play featuring the wit and wisdom of Harry Truman that will present like a historical cabaret.
