Join the Des Moines Community Playhouse on Nov. 17 for 'The Frog Princess.' This story is part of the 2017-18 season of Friday Funday, a creative participatory story theatre program for children ages 4-6. Performances are at the Playhouse, Friday, Nov. 17, at 9:30 AM, 10:45 AM, and 1:30 PM. Shows are approximately 45 minutes in length. Joe Dempsey joins the cast as Rembrandt/Henry in this subtle and elegant play, replacing ensemble member Francis Guinan who is currently in rehearsals for Steppenwolf's next production, The Minutes. The Neo-Futurists' The Infinite Wrench, their open-run production at The Neo-Futurarium, 5153 N. Ashland Ave., reached a milestone Friday, Sept. 29. At the 11:30 p.m. performance, the ensemble wrote and performed the 10,000th premiere in their ongoing show featuring short plays in a race against the clock.
