Friday Funday Presents THE FROG PRINCESS at Des Moines Playhouse

Join the Des Moines Community Playhouse on Nov. 17 for "The Frog Princess." This story is part of the 2017-18 season of Friday Funday, a creative participatory story theatre program for children ages 4-6. Performances are at the Playhouse, Friday, Nov. 17, at 9:30 AM, 10:45 AM, and 1:30 PM. Shows are approximately 45 minutes in length. The performance at 10:45 AM will have audio description, provided by IRIS. Admission is $6 per person, adults and children. November's featured story is "The Frog Princess." The spoiled princess promises to kiss the frog if he retrieves her ball from the pond. What happens when she doesn't keep her promise?

Friday Funday performances are held monthly, September 2017-April 2018. The season features a variety of stories, including "The Elves and the Shoemaker," Dec. 15, 2017; "The Three Little Pigs," Jan. 12, 2018; "The Mitten," Feb. 2, 2018; "Pinocchio," Mar. 2, 2018; and "Sleeping Beauty," Apr. 6, 2018.

The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.
