During a Q&A for her beauty brand, R.E.M. Beauty, Grande shared that she has not started working on a new album due to devoting her time to filming The Voice and preparing for her Wicked audition. Now, as production on the films begin this summer, Grande will be focusing completely on playing Glinda.

Some nights Lissa deGuzman (who plays Elphaba in the national tour of WICKED) and Jennafer Newberry (who plays Glinda) walk out of a theater together and run into a throng of fans of the 2003 musical.

It was just announced by Jon M. Chu that the WICKED movie will be released in two parts. The films will be released a year apart, beginning with the 2024 Holiday season.

The Broadway sensation WICKED will welcome new cast members to the National Tour beginning performances Tuesday, March 22 at the First Interstate Center for the Arts in Spokane, WA.

Just last month, Brittney Johnson took her first bow as Glinda in Wicked on Broadway, making her the first Black actress to assume the iconic role. Johnson joined the cast opposite Lindsay Pearce as Elphaba, Alexandra Billings as Madame Morrible, Michael McCormick as The Wizard, Sam Gravitte as Fiyero, Jordan Barrow as Boq, Mili Diaz as Nessarose, and Michael X. Martin as Doctor Dillamond.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, WICKED performances at Playhouse Square tonight December 20, and tomorrow Dec 21 have been canceled.

This evening, Wicked on Broadway, will welcome actor Jordan Barrow to its principal cast in the role of Boq. The role marks Barrow's Broadway debut, as well as the first Black actor to play the role in North America.

According to the production's social media, 'Tonight’s performance of WICKED is being cancelled due to the detection of a limited number of positive COVID test results combined with previously scheduled absences in the company....'

During an appearnace on The Tonight Show, Kristin Chenoweth commented on the recent news that Ariana Grande would be playing Glinda in the new film adaption of Wicked. When asked about the possibility of making a cameo in the film, Chenoweth shared her idea of how she and original Elphaba Idina Menzel should make an appearance in the film.

In 2003, the original company of Wicked made its way to 34th Street to perform 'One Short Day' at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Earlier today, almost two decades later, the company returned for an encore! Watch the full performance below.

The Kansas City Broadway Series has announced the three-week engagement of the Broadway musical sensation, WICKED. The national tour of WICKED will take the Music Hall stage from January 5–23, 2022.

Broadway is back at the Fox Cities P.A.C. and with it comes a boost to the economy to the tune of $13.4 million.

WICKED, Costa Mesa’s most popular musical, will return to Segerstrom Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts February 9 to March 6, 2022. This will be the first area engagement of WICKED in three years

WICKED announced today an official partnership with TikTok to celebrate the return of Broadway. As the Grand Finale of TikTok’s Broadway is Back campaign, WICKED will go live on the app on Tuesday, October 12 at 8pm EST with “Defying Gravity” recorded live at all three currently running productions – Broadway, London, and U.S. National Tour.

The Kansas City Broadway Series has announced single tickets will be available Monday, Oct. 4, 2021 for the Kansas City engagement of the hit Broadway musical, WICKED. The touring production of WICKED flies into the KANSAS CITY BROADWAY SERIES on Jan. 5–23, 2022.
