Ateneo de Manila University's Blue Repertory attempts to answer the essential question: is everything, everyone interconnected in its 28th theatrical season premiere, the song cycle a?oeThe Theory of Relativity.a?? The production plays at the Fine Arts Black Box Theatre, Ateneo de Manila University campus in Quezon City from September 12-29, 2019, with evening and matinee performances.

Casting announced for the European premiere of the hit Off-Broadway play The Niceties by Eleanor Burgess, opening at the Finborough Theatre for a strictly limited four-week season on Tuesday, 1 October 2019.

The iconic ROCK OF AGES bursts onto the Montecasino Teatro stage later this year bringing the 80s alive and boasting top local talent. This production celebrates the rock musical's 10th Broadway anniversary this year, with newcomer Jessica Driver celebrating her first lead role as small-town rockstar wannabe Sherrie. 

The Rocket Summer's 'mastermind (Billboard),' multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, and performer, Bryce Avary, shares his new single, 'Blankets,' today. The track is the fourth single from the upcoming, new album, Sweet Shivers, due out in two weeks, on August 2, 2019.

Matthew Morrison and Shoshana been lit up the stage at the Strathmore's Annual Spring Gala in North Bethesda on Saturday. The evening started out with Shoshana Bean's jazz set which perfectly showcased her incredible voice. Bean's set included many songs from her 2018 album 'Spectrum' which she expressed was an album that was rooted in and inspired by music from her childhood. Bean opened her set with a song from this album entitled 'Remember the Day' - an electrifying jazz song which showcased Bean's exquisite voice and personality. She had the audience in the palm of her hand from the first note. Bean continued with songs from 'Spectrum' including 'I Wanna Be Around' and 'Strange Thunder.' Bean introduced her music director and producer David Cook who was on piano, and exclaimed to Cook that 'you're one of my favorite people to make music with.' The Bean and Cook pair made some exceptional music which resonated gracefully, throughout the beautiful Strathmore music hall.

Okay, this week, I only have to throw out two CDs, but it hurts! I'll never forget May 31, 1992--the 46th Annual Tony Awards. I had just turned 16 and was eagerly tuning in to absorb the Broadway of it all. I didn't really know much about any of the shows, other than that friends and family in New York had flipped for Guys And Dolls and that my parents had loved an earlier incarnation of Jelly's Last Jam when it played the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Glenn Close was hosting and Patti LuPone was presenting and I was not moving from my seat on the couch until I had a ranked list of the shows I wanted to see when I got to New York to visit my grandparents for Thanksgiving.
