Really Really Theatre Group Presents Duncan Macmillan's LUNGS

After a successful inaugural production of Much Better in 2017, Really Really Theatre Group returns to Seattle with a production of LUNGS by Duncan MacMillan at 12th Avenue Arts (1620 12th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122). In addition, Really Really Theatre Group is thrilled to announce a partnership with The Scratch, providing support for their Seattle Workshop Series which helps artists throughout the Pacific Northwest develop theatrical works-in-progress. Both programs will take place in August 2019.

The world is getting hotter, seas are rising, and one couple is thinking of having a baby. Both intimate and epic, Duncan MacMillan's follows the lifespan of one couple's conversation-from its first question to its final answer-as they consider what it truly means to bring one more person into the world. Both funny and searing, theatrical and personal, LUNGS asks us to examine the responsibilities we have to each other, ourselves, and our environment. Really Really Theatre Group is excited to share this exhilarating piece with Seattle audiences and to incite conversation about these important global issues. In addition to LUNGS, Really Really Theatre Group is thrilled to be joining The Scratch's Seattle Workshop Series as a series partner, amplifying their mission to support the development of new works by local artists from page to stage. Really Really Theatre Group and The Scratch will bring together over one hundred artists from the Pacific Northwest to present new theatrical work through several artistic and public programs. The Scratch's Seattle Workshop Series will run August 11 - 27, 2019 at 18th & Union and 12th Avenue Arts. The Scratch will be accepting submissions until May 5.
