PROSPECT THEATER COMPANY has revealed the full cast & creative team for its annual Musical Theater Lab POTLUCK: A MUSICAL FEAST at Peter Norton Symphony Space.

The Public Theater has revealed the 10 new playwrights have been selected for the 2023-2025 Emerging Writers Group.

On this track, written with renowned songwriters Jon Randall (Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Marren Morris) and Gordie Sampson (Willie Nelson, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban),  Jarosz shares the sweetly lilting reverie that gave the album its title (from the first verse: “In a dream we were Polaroid lovers/In the deep where the edges don't lie”).

The Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC, Executive Director Khady Kamara and Artistic Director Bill Rauch) presents Watch Night at the new performing arts center at the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan.  The production opens tomorrow, November 8, 2023.

Wiltshire Creative has announced their Spring 2024 programme. Building on their recent in-house productions at Salisbury Playhouse, which include The Girl on the Train and Jeeves & Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, Wiltshire Creative's programme for next spring includes three new in-house productions.  

​​​​​​​Hikaru Iwamoto: In the stage production 'SHONENTACHI 2023: Through The Darkness,' (Click here to see Review: SHONENTACHI 2023: THROUGH THE DARKNESS) which opened on October 4th with the lead role played by the members of Bishonen, Hikaru took on the sole responsibility for the stage's composition, direction, and choreography for his first time. He also appeared in the previous stage productions of the 'SHONENTACHI' series and its 2019 film adaptation. 'SHONENTACHI' has been evolving and continuing to the present day since its first performance in 1969. Hikaru, who debuted in 2020 as the leader of Snow Man, is active in various fields, including music, stage performances, variety shows, YouTube, films, and magazines. Some of his notable works cover the musical 'Catch Me If You Can' (2022), the film 'My Boyfriend in Orange' (2002), and 'Osomatsu-san' (2022). Additionally, he and his fellow group members appear on the TBS show 'Sore Snow Man ni Yarasete Kudasai（それSnow Manにやらせて下さい）' every Friday and on the 'Snow Man no Su no Manma（Snow Manの素のまんま）' show on Nippon Cultural Broadcasting every Thursday. In the fitness magazine 'Tarzan,' he has been serializing 'Muscle Bard Hikaru Iwamoto’s Betrayal Work Out Method（筋肉吟遊詩人・岩本照 裏切りの筋トレ・メソッド）” since 2018.

Virginia Woolf was onto something when she wrote her novel “Orlando: A Biography” 95 years ago — a tall tale of aristocracy and adventure for a poet who also happens to change gender. It rings true, too, in its adaptation by Sarah Ruhl, the clever and popular contemporary playwright whose version of the story was one of her earliest commissions in 1998.

This live video is a stripped down version that was shot at the Masonic Ballroom in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and it features Aaron Parks on piano, Jeremy Boettcher on bass, Ben Lester on synth and pedal steel, and Hannah Hebl on voice. It was engineered and mixed by Brian Joseph, who we recorded the album with, and the video was shot by Ivy Media.
