Pour yourself a cup of ambition, and head on down to Dolly Parton's rollicking West End musical!

9 TO 5 THE MUSICALis clocking in to the West End - with a strictly limited West End season at the Savoy Theatre.

Starring Louise Redknapp, Amber Davies, Natalie McQueen and Brian Conley, the smash-hit show features an original Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score by country legend and pop icon Dolly Parton.

9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL tells the story of Doralee, Violet and Judy - three workmates pushed to the edge by a sexist supervisor. The three ladies tie up their bigoted boss to take revenge and reform the office - but when the CEO pays a surprise visit, everything's in danger of unravelling...

Presented by Dolly herself, and inspired by the cult film, this uproarious new West End show is about taking care of business - by taking on the man.

Methel Ethyl Announce New Album And Share Single/ Video for REAL TIGHT
by BWW News Desk - Nov 9, 2018

Today, Methyl Ethel have announced their new album, Triage will be released February 15th on 4AD. Today, they share the single from the forthcoming album along with the accompanying video for 'Real Tight,' directed by Matt Sav. 'Real Tight' is one of the most pop-adjacent tracks [Webb has] ever made, complete with a swelling chorus and some of the most achingly personal lyrics in the Methyl Ethel canon,' Said Noisey. 'Known for filling his verses with abstractions, 'Real Tight' finds Webb making things plain and simple 'I cannot lie/ I don't feel right,' he sings on the track's chorus, a simple plea that's striking in how forward it is, compared to earlier Methyl Ethel songs.' Triage marks the Perth, Australia band's third album. It was written, produced and performed by lead singer Jake Webb, mixed by Marta Salogni and mastered by Heba Kadry. The album was recorded in Webb's home studio in West Perth and is available for pre-order today. (more...)

BWW Review: 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL at Tibble Teater, Täby, Stockholm
by Annette Stolt - Nov 26, 2018

In 1980 the film '9 to 5' about the secretaries who rebelled against their CEO when they were tired of his behavior, was a blockbuster at the cinemas worldwide. The film may well be seen as a classic because Dolly Parton's lead motive became such a success. Ten years ago, it opened as a musical in Los Angeles with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and script by Patricia Resnick. In 2009 it opened on Broadway for a short period of time and has been played for example in England and in a couple of places in Germany and will open on January 28, 2019 at Savoy, West End in London.
