Tickets Go On Sale For JERSEY BOYS This Week at Providence Performing Arts Center

Tickets will go on sale Friday, December 7 at 10A for the return engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The musical will make its much-anticipated return to the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC), May 10 - 12, 2019.   

Bonnie Langford Joins 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL

Full casting has been announced for 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL at the Savoy Theatre, London for a strictly limited season from 28 January - 31 August 2019. Bonnie Langford will play 'Roz Keith', joining the previously announced Louise Redknapp as 'Violet Newstead', Amber Davies as 'Judy Bernly', Natalie McQueen as 'Doralee Rhodes' and Brian Conley as 'Franklin Hart'.

International Women's Media Foundation Presents 2018 Courage In Journalism Awards

The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) today honored several outstanding female journalists at the 2018 Courage in Journalism Awards luncheon at Cipriani 42nd Street. This year's honorees included news agency JINHA founder, Zehra Do?an, U.S. freelance photojournalist, Meridith Kohut, undercover CNN International correspondent, Nima Elbagir, and organized crime reporter and ZETA editor-in-chief, Rosario Mosso Castro. "60 Minutes'" Lesley Stahl also received the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award. Additionally, MSNBC President, Phil Griffin was recognized with the IWMF Leadership Award along with Bloomberg News' Senior Editor, Karen Toulon who was honored with the Gwen Ifill Award.

The full company for the Royal Exchange Theatre's brand-new production of THE PRODUCERS, directed by Raz Shaw, has been announced today. Joining Julius D'Silva and Stuart Neal who play the wonderfully bizarre double act Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, are MATILDA's Ms Trunchbull Charles Brunton (Roger De Bris), Hammed Animashaun, (Carmen Ghia), Dale Meeks (Franz Liebkind), Emily-Mae (Ulla) and an ensemble of 11 multi-talented actors. This wickedly funny, outrageous love letter to the Broadway musical builds upon the Exchange's growing reputation for reinventing celebrated musicals for its unique in-the-round theatre. Raz is joined by Choreographer Alistair David and Musical Supervisor Caroline Humphris. Featuring show-stopping songs such as Springtime for Hitler and When You Got It Flaunt It the production runs from 30 November 2018 - 26 January 2019.

The New Victory Theater To Produce World Premiere Stage Adaptation Of WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

Previewed last night at a private event at the New York Public Library, The Maurice Sendak Foundation announced that it has commissioned the first major and only full-length stage play adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are. This stage adaptation follows a 1984 opera and 2009 film based on the classic children's story. The New Victory Theater (a project of The New 42nd Street), New York City's premier performing arts nonprofit entirely devoted to kids and families, has committed to produce the play, marking its first foray into original production. The creative team for the production is in formation and will be announced at a later date.

The acclaimed production of Gingold Theatrical Group's Heartbreak House has only two weeks remaining in its limited Off-Broadway engagement at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues), through September 29th only. The production will be filmed on September 28th to be preserved for posterity and added to the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
