On Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 8:00pm at Alice Tully Hall, American Classical Orchestra (ACO) presents Imperial Haydn with guest soloist Aisslinn Nosky (violin) and ACO principals Marc Schachman (oboe), Andrew Schwartz (bassoon), and Myron Lutzke (cello). Along with Haydn's 'L'Imperiale' (No. 53), the program also features his Sinfonia Concertante in B-flat major and a rare performance of Kalliwoda's Symphony No. 5 in B minor.

The Donmar Warehouse today announces the appointment of Henny Finch as the new Executive Producer from 7 January 2019, succeeding Kate Pakenham. Henny will support and work alongside newly appointed Artistic Director Michael Longhurst in the creative and organisational running of the Donmar Warehouse, ahead of his first season in 2019.

The Neighborhood Playhouse at 340 East 54th Street (near 1st Avenue) in New York City will be holding a memorial to honor Tony award winning director Vivian Matalon on Monday, October 8 at 7PM. Linda Thompson's career began in the much beloved late '60s/early '70s British folk-rock scene, when she went by the name Linda Peters. At first, she was mostly a session singer and a part of a short-lived duo with Paul McNeill with whom she released two singles, in 1968 and 1969. McNeill happened to be friends with Sandy Denny, and soon so was Linda. She became one of the “supergroup” of musician friends related to Fairport Convention for the 1972 The Bunch album, a side project of sorts that highlighted rock hits of the '50s. The album's single featured Linda and Sandy covering the Everly Brothers' “When Will I Be Loved.” Also in 1972 Linda married Richard Thompson; she and Sandy can be found in the credits for his solo debut, Henry the Human Fly. Beginning in 1974, albums started appearing by Richard & Linda Thompson, winding up with 1982's classic Shoot Out the Lights — which also signaled the end of their marriage.

New Repertory Theatre, the professional theatre company in residence at the Mosesian Center for the Arts, announces that Artistic Director Jim Petosa will step down from his leadership position (held since 2012) at the end of the 2018-2019 Season. He will next direct We Will Not Be Silent, opening in October, which will be the last production he directs during his tenure as artistic director.

Playhouse Square announced today that Gina Vernaci has been promoted to the position of president and chief operating officer (COO), effective October 1. Vernaci joined the organization in 1984 and has been serving as its executive producer since 2014.

As the kick-off to this year's highly anticipated “2018 American Music Awards,” chart-topping artists Kane Brown and Ella Mai, singer and American Music Award winner Normani and award winning singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha today announced the nominations LIVE from YouTube Space LA.  The event was livestreamed on the official American Music Awards YouTube channel (YouTube.com/TheAMAs) and included a panel discussion about the nominations with the presenting talent and Billboard correspondent Chelsea Briggs. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the “2018 American Music Awards” will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 9 at 8:00pm ET on ABC.

Corteo, the latest Cirque du Soleil's arena production, embark on a new journey throughout North America. The show will visit Duluth at the Infinite Energy Arena, from August 29 to September 2, 2018 for a limited run of seven performances. This unique production, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, first premiered in Montreal under the Big Top in April 2005. Since then, the show has been a great success and has amazed 8 million people in 64 cities in 19 countries on four continents.
