Four workshops in playwriting designed for new playwrights and those with previous experience. From the basic fundamentals, tools, and structure of a script to finished one-act plays, this class focuses on making playwrights capable of writing dynamic and innovative work. A unique method to iDiOM Theater, on of the most prolific creators of new work in the world. Time, Space, Language, Theatricality, Audience Dynamic, Rule-making, are the lenses we use to create worlds for the stage.
iDiOM Director Glenn Hergenhahn-Zhao will be teaching these Playwriting Workshops. Glenn has been teaching acting and playwriting for twenty years, and is one of the most prolific playwrights in the world with nearly 500 titles to his name. He studied Meisner Acting Technique and Viewpoints with The Atlantic Theatre School in NYC and has been using these methods in the classroom and on stage at iDiOM for over a decade.
