The Long Drop at Citizens Theatre

The Long Drop is a stage adaptation of Denise Mina's true crime novel, adapted by Linda McLean and directed by Citizens Theatre Artistic Director Dominic Hill. The story follows a pub crawl through Glasgow in which serial killer Peter Manuel accompanies William Watt — the husband and father of three of Manuel's victims — who is himself under suspicion for their murders, as Watt attempts to clear his name while being drawn into Manuel's web of manipulation. Brian Vernel, known for his roles in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Slow Horses, plays Manuel, with Keith Fleming opposite him as William Watt. The ensemble cast also includes Andy Clark, Martin Donaghy, George Drennan, Mary Gapinski, and Robert Jack.
