Slayers at Assembly George Square Studios

Slayers is a one-woman play written by Corinne Salisbury and directed by Josephine Rush, centering on Liane, a single mother and survivor of abuse who attempts to shield her ten-year-old daughter from the dangers of the manosphere. When her daughter suffers at the hands of bullies and Liane has a real-world encounter with misogynistic culture, mother and daughter decide to defend themselves with consequences that spiral beyond their control. Performer Zoë Hunter plays Liane in this world premiere production from the newly formed RUPTURE theatre company. The play explores questions of justice, rage, and what it means to protect the next generation of women.
