Do Not Pass Go, from award-winning theatre company Jordan & Skinner, tells the story of Lizzie Magie, the pioneering feminist, economist, and games designer who invented "The Landlord's Game" — the board game that would become Monopoly — only to have her creation stolen by Charles Darrow, who became the first millionaire games designer in history. Created and performed by Melanie Jordan and directed by Caitlin Skinner, the show uses clown, physical theatre, dance, British Sign Language, and spoken English to unearth Magie's story and examine why women continue to be disadvantaged by economic systems. The production is Jordan & Skinner's first to be fully accessible to deaf audiences, featuring integrated BSL performed by a cast member, with movement direction by Emma Jayne Park. Do Not Pass Go tours theatres across Scotland from 2nd October to 7th November 2026.
