Do Not Pass Go, from theatre company Jordan & Skinner, tells the story of Lizzie Magie, the pioneering feminist and games designer who invented The Landlord's Game — the board game that would become Monopoly — only to have it stolen by Charles Darrow, who became the first millionaire games designer in history. Created and performed by Melanie Jordan and directed by Caitlin Skinner, the show uses clown, physical theatre, dance, and integrated British Sign Language to bring Magie's story to life. The production uses Magie's experience as a lens through which to examine why women continue to be disadvantaged by economic systems and why alternatives to the status quo remain difficult to imagine. Do Not Pass Go premieres at Platform, Glasgow before touring venues across Scotland through November 2026.
