Aliens follows a real-life mother and daughter, Marta McIlduff and Alessandra Celesia, on a road trip from Donegal to southern Italy, weaving their personal stories with those of Italian immigrants in Northern Ireland and present-day migrants, activists, and strangers met along the way. The show blends performance, video, and live music with a live electronic score performed by Giovanni Corgiat Mecio, exploring what it means to live between countries, generations, and identities. It is directed by Emily Mytton, a veteran of Punchdrunk, the National Theatre, and the RSC, and was a winner of the Beyond Borders Award and nominated for Best Production at Dublin Fringe Festival 2025. The show is performed in English, French, and Italian with integrated subtitles, and is a co-production by Curious Industries and Dumbworld, part of Aurora Nova 2026.
