You Will Get Sick, written by Noah Diaz, is a new play told in second-person that follows a man who hires a stranger to speak the words he cannot bring himself to say — that he is sick. As his body fails him, the play takes audiences on a surreal and emotional journey through illness, vulnerability, and the ways people care for one another. A recipient of the Kennedy Center's Jean Kennedy Smith Playwriting Award, the play runs in rotating repertory with Pronoun at the Jane B. Cook Theatre.
