The New Works Play Lab returns for its second year at the Jane B. Cook Theatre in December 2026, presented by the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. The program gives graduate student-actors hands-on experience with developing new work, moving from the workshop process through to a staged reading. Three new plays by three emerging playwrights are workshopped, rehearsed, and presented in readings over the course of one week, offering playwrights a laboratory to experiment with their work in a supportive, educational setting.
