There is nothing like some good ol' southern charm here in The Big Apple, and with a stellar cast of New York performers with southern roots, it's a perfect combination. Grammy Award winner and Tony nominee NaTasha Williams joins Mary Porter and other performers from the states of Texas, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina in this unique show that pays tribute to southern composers and performers.
"Southern Nights" will feature a variety of southern-inspired music. There will be some Broadway and standards, a little country and jazz....and a lot of fun! Southern composers like Johnny Mercer, Roger Miller and Hugh Martin and southern performers like Dolly Parton, Louis Armstrong, Elvis, Nina Simone, Ben Vereen, Ariana DeBose, Thelonious Monk, Glen Campbell, Leontyne Price and many others will be featured.
