Madame X- The Musical! is an over-the-top comedic take on Douglas Sirk films and the genre of the self-sacrificing mother, featuring a new music score and lyrics by Gerard Alessandrini and Robert Hetzel. A curvaceous shopgirl who wins a beauty contest and marries a wealthy politician must navigate her Machiavellian mother-in-law while her husband campaigns. The cast includes Emmy Award winner Michael Corbett, Charley Bazz, Jorge Blakely, James Donegan, Charlemagne Fadner, Jordan Goldberg, Karen Murphy, Justin Parker, and Jenny Lee Stern, with music direction by Richard Danley. The production features Broadway talent and award-winning alumni from Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway and Spamilton.
