Luchadora! is a family-friendly theatrical adventure by Alvaro Saar Rios that reimagines the legend of Mulan through the world of Mexican wrestling. When a worn pink mask resurfaces, Nana Lupita recalls her teenage years in 1960s Texas, where she secretly dreamed of the lucha libre ring and ultimately trained in secret to defend her ailing father's honor in a high-stakes match. The production is directed by Marilet Martinez and features a cast including Stephanie Román, Dena Martinez, Jessie Villaseñor, Robert Ramirez, Edella Oroz Westerfield, Joey Adanalian, Noah Esquivel, and Edwin Blanco. The show explores themes of love, identity, and courage through heart, humor, and high-flying heroics.
