 "San Jose, You've Got Grail!" Tony Award-winning Best MusicAl Monty PYTHON'S SPAMALOT kicks off the inaugural season for Broadway San Jose, the Bay Area's newest showcase for top Broadway shows. The musical comedy The New York Times declared "resplendently silly" brings its quest to the South Bay September 15 - 20, 2009 at the San Jose Center for Performing Arts, 255 Almaden Blvd., San Jose. Broadway San Jose is operated by The Nederlander Organization, bringing five top Broadway shows to San Jose this coming season, beginning with MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT . The line-up continues with SPRING AWAKENING (Oct. 28 - Nov. 1), RIVERDANCE (Dec. 29 - Jan. 3), AVENUE Q (Jan. 12 - 17), and LEGALLY BLONDE, THE MUSICAL (Mar. 16 - 21). The Nederlander Organization owns nine Broadway theaters in New York, home to shows such as WICKED, WEST SIDE STORY, Disney's THE LION KING, IN THE HEIGHTS, and GUYS AND DOLLS. James L. Nederlander, President of The Nederlander Organization, stated "We have had a long-standing theatrical and concert presence in California and the Southwest, presenting both popular classics and groundbreaking new musicals.

MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT will run from September 15 - 20, 2009, with performances Tuesday-Thursday at 7:30 pm, Friday at 8 pm, Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm, and Sunday at 1 pm and 6 pm at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, 255 Almaden Blvd, San Jose, CA 95110.  Single tickets ($22 - $88) are available online at www.sjtix.com and over the phone by calling (408) 792-4111.
