Oceanside Theatre Company presents Once on This Island, a musical inspired by Rosa Guy’s novel My Love, My Love or The Peasant Girl. The story centers on Ti Moune, portrayed by The Voice finalist Timyra-Joi, as she navigates love and destiny by rescuing Daniel, a boy from the privileged side of the island. The production highlights themes of resilience and connection, featuring an ensemble with talent such as Xavier J. Bush and Eboni Muse, under the direction of Kevin “Blax” Burroughs. With its vibrant music and storytelling, this production invites audiences to explore the profound ties that bind us across social divides.
