The show chronicles the relationship of two twenty-somethings, full of ambition but lacking direction. The dialogue, as the title implies, is truncated as these two struggle to communicate their emotions in a world of emoticons.

Actors Alliance of San Diego has teamed up with San Diego Playwrights to launch a new workshop series with the goal of cultivating an environment for creative growth in San Diego. Seven playwrights have joined forces with eleven actors and three directors to present new plays in the Breaking Waves Festival at the San Diego Fringe Festival in 2014. Throughout the workshop series the groups are able to learn how improv and 'play' can lead to the development of a play. Workshops will also include experiences by up and coming playwrights who have had their works produced at local and regional theatres and talks on the business of 'showbiz'. The workshops will culminate in the newest edition to the San Diego International Fringe Festival...the Breaking Waves Festival.

The show combines elements of clown, mime, acrobatics, dance, puppetry, and object theater to create a playground of the imagination. TCG National Conference in San Diego to 'Cross Borders' Between Cultures, Now thru 6/21; Heads to Tijuana

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, announces that Crossing Borders will be the theme of the 24th annual TCG National Conference in San Diego from today, June 19 to 21, 2014. In addition to challenging both the practical and conceptual barriers to strengthening the theatre field's vitality, literal borders will also be crossed when attendees journey to Tijuana, Mexico to engage with local artists and culture. This multi-day, international event will draw more than 1,000 theatre professionals from around the world for artistic and intellectual exchange through meetings, speeches and performances. Lauded theatre performer and playwright Taylor Mac will be one of the featured presenters.
