Too Many Voices received its second public reading as part of the Harrington Center's New Works Festival, a culminating event featuring new musicals making steps toward the stage. The musical is written by Tyler Thompson and directed by Tim Threlfall, with cast members Rebekah Thorn, Noah Hurley, Natalie Makin, and Isabel Ownby. The show follows Alex and Jenna, college best friends navigating daily life and mental health struggles, as a powerful truth begins to emerge through their friendship. The reading was followed by a live talkback with Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Phil Kenny and LA-based composer Jonathon Keith.
