Aaron Copland's The Tender Land is a coming-of-age story set in the rural American heartland during the 1930s, following Laurie as she stands on the brink of high school graduation and the arrival of a charming outsider forces her to choose between the life she knows and the unknown world beyond it. Park City Opera presents the production at Temple Har Shalom, where audiences sit just feet from the performers, accompanied by a chamber orchestra of thirteen players conducted by Benjamin Beckman and directed by Lisl Wangermann. Rachel Kobernick and Lena Goldstein share the title role of Laurie across the two performances, with David Silvano as Martin, Joseph O'Shea as Top, and Laura Zahn as Ma Moss, among others. The evening includes complimentary American light bites, a cash bar, and additional music and art installations.
