New World Shakespeare Company presents an adaptation of Chekhov's The Seagull by Élise C. Hanson, a tragicomedy exploring the lives and loves of actors and writers in 19th century Russia. Hanson's adaptation preserves the late-stage Victorian rhythms and Chekhov's voice while bringing vitality to characterization and structural alterations suited to modern audiences. The production is directed by Shea Potter and features a cast including Amber Heinrich, Jackson Eastmond, Kate Potter, Zach Reynolds, and Blayne Wiley, among others. NWSC is partnering with Alliance of Hope for Suicide Loss Survivors in connection with this production.
