Once upon a time, in a far-away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairy tale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task - if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad but a fairy tale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

Davis Musical Theatre Company (DMTC) is a nonprofit, entirely volunteer-run community theatre that has been bringing the magic of live theatre to Davis for over 40 years. Our mission is to make theatre accessible to everyone through high-quality productions, educational programs, and affordable ticket prices. Each season features Broadway musicals, youth theatre, classes, workshops, and special events that inspire creativity and bring our community together.
