The B Street Theatre weaves a spine-tingling tale of loss and revenge in the backwoods of Middle America with Laura Schellhardt's The K of D.  Long-time B Street Company members Tara Sissom and Jason Kuykendall create memorable characters as they explore the dark realm of this urban legend.  When a reckless driver tragically hits little Charlotte McGraw's twin brother Jamie, he gives her a strange, dangerous gift upon dying no one can explain.  Charlottle's rag-tag posse of friends seek revenge on Jamie's killer, Jonny Whistler, who moves in next door and ignites a vicious family feud.  But how the feud ends, and who has the last say, remains a provocative mystery.

The B Street Theatre is proud to uphold its commitment to providing quality professional theatre to the Sacramento community by producing Laura Schellhardt's The K of D.  Schellhardt studied playwrighting under such formidable talents as John Logan, author of B Street's highly acclaimed production of Red, and Paula Vogel.  She currently teaches playwrighting at Northwestern University and her work has been staged in New York, Chicago, and across the country.

The K of D: an urban legend replaces Maple and Vine as the third show in B Street's 2012-2013 Mainstage Season.

B Street Theatre is a non-profit, professional theatre company producing primarily new work for adults, families and children. The two-theatre playhouse on B Street in Midtown Sacramento is home to the Mainstage Series, B3 Series and Family Series, each created to feature intimate, quality theatre for audiences year-round. Recognized as one of Northern California's top professional theatres, B Street Theatre has produced more than 100 new plays, 60 of which are world, national, West Coast or regional premieres.

B Street Theatre was originally founded in 1986 for the purpose of bringing the excitement of live performance to children through the B Street Theatre School Tour. This educational outreach program serves over 200,000 students in Northern California annually.

Other B Street Theatre programs include the B Street Theatre Family Series and Family Series Student Matinees (for school field trips), the B3 Series, B Street Acting Conservatory and Studio for Young People, and the B Street Theatre Internship program for pre-professional/post-college training.

B Street Theatre has produced over 250 professional productions since 1986.
