Jane Lynch and Kate Flannery Set for 'SEE JANE SING' at Mondavi Center, 8/8
See Jane Sing: Broadway with a Twist is an evening of musical comedy, wit and the occasional show tune from Emmy and Golden Globe award winner Jane Lynch. Backed by The Tony Guerrero Quintet, and with special guest Kate Flannery (NBC's The Office), Lynch pulls out all the stops: expect musical comedy and a not-too-serious, but totally heartfelt, exploration of American standards and show tunes. Or, as Lynch describes it, an "anti-cabaret show."
Best known for her iconic Glee character Sue Sylvester, Jane Lynch is an Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor with remarkable comic timing -- and has quite a way with a track suit. Lynch cut her theatrical teeth at The Second City, Steppenwolf Theatre and, as she describes it, many church basements all over the Chicagoland area. She also had career-defining roles in Christopher Guest's Best in Show and Judd Apatow's The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
Kate Flannery is best-known for her role as Meredith Palmer on the NBC sitcom The Office. The Pennsylvania native graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and is a former member of The Second City's National Touring Company.
Trumpeter and bandleader Tony Guerrero is a multi-faceted musician, composer, producer and author who has performed on hundreds of recordings, including his own multiple chart-topping solo jazz CDs. He has worked with a veritable who's-who of the music industry in the jazz and pop arenas and continues to tour worldwide both as a solo artist and with other performers.
