Boston-based British/American blues powerhouse Bees Deluxe return to Lansdowne, Pennsylvania for a live performance at Jamey's House of Music. The band, fresh off winning the New Hampshire State Blues Challenge, is gearing up to represent the region at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis for the second consecutive year. Fronted by British guitarist Conrad Warre, with Carol Band on keyboards, harmonica and vocals, Rich Shields on five-string bass, and Dylan DiChiara on drums and percussion, the band pushes blues to the fringes where it mixes with jazz, funk and psychedelia. Their album Hallucinate earned praise comparing their sound to what Steely Dan would sound like if they played the blues.
