Review: DAVID MARINO SINGS MICHEL LEGRAND at Bal Blomet

Review: DAVID MARINO SINGS MICHEL LEGRAND at Bal Blomet

France: Patrick Honoré • June 24, 2026

A first solo concert in France that felt anything but: David Marino brought Michel Legrand's greatest film songs to the Bal Blomet on Thursday with warmth, authority, and an all-star band that once played these melodies with the composer himself. A very special evening.

Review: FROZEN at Broadway At Music Circus

Review: FROZEN at Broadway At Music Circus

Sacramento: Courtney Symes • June 24, 2026

Arendelle has once again transformed Sacramento into a wintry wonderland, this time in the round at Broadway at Music Circus. Frozen the Broadway Musical is a dazzling stage adaptation of Disney's beloved 2013 animated film. It opened on Broadway in 2018 with additional songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and earned three Tony Award nominations: Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score. Director Glenn Casale has assembled a star-studded cast for this adaptation, and his signature touch elevates the joy and magic that Disney represents.

Review: GREASE at PORTHOUSE/Kent State University

Review: GREASE at PORTHOUSE/Kent State University

Cleveland: Roy Berko • June 24, 2026

GREASE, Porthouse-style, is a nostalgic reminder of the era of mid-1900’s and left those of a certain-age satisfied and maybe those of the Information Age/Digital Age asking “what was the attitude, grease and angst” all about.

Review: AGE OF CONTENT at Grand Théâtre

Review: AGE OF CONTENT at Grand Théâtre

Luxembourg: David Sousa Lopes • June 24, 2026

In this vivid piece, the company explores the condition of young life in the age of social media, where individuality is constantly performed, consumed, imitated, and discarded.

Review: THE WASP at The Kranzberg

St. Louis: Rob Levy • June 23, 2026

Vengeance and manipulation are at the heart of The Wasp, the latest offering from Albion Theater. A contemporary thriller by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, this intense drama, presented without intermission, is filled with twists, turns, and psychological angst.

Review: THE ZIONISTS: A FAMILY STORM at Barrington Stage Company

Review: THE ZIONISTS: A FAMILY STORM at Barrington Stage Company

Boston: Marc Savitt • June 23, 2026

THE ZIONISTS; A Family Storm represents a tremendous new piece of theater. One that, like a gemstone, sparkles on many facets. You don’t have to possess any particular element, characteristic, or trait, this play will make you think. It continues at Barrington Stage Company’s Boyd-Quinson Theater 30 Union Street in Pittsfield through July 2, and I highly recommend it!

Review: THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS at Twin Lakes Playhouse in Mountain Home

Review: THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS at Twin Lakes Playhouse in Mountain Home

Arkansas: Theresa Bertram • June 23, 2026

If The Golden Girls and Steel Magnolias had a theatrical love child, it would be The Hallelujah Girls, now playing at Twin Lakes Playhouse in Mountain Home through Sunday, June 28. Written by Jones Hope Wooten and directed by Dianne Pankau, this laugh-out-loud Southern comedy celebrates friendship, second chances, and the realization that life doesn't stop because you've reached a certain age. Packed with colorful personalities and quick wit, it is the kind of show that will have you laughing through the whole show.
