Theatre22 presents THE REVOLUTIONISTS by Lauren Gunderson, Directed by Julie BeckmanTHE REVOLUTIONISTS is a story about four badass women who lose their heads (literally) in this irreverent comedy set during the French Revolutions Reign of Terror. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, deposed queen Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle tell their stories together and try to beat back the extremist insanity in 1793 Paris. This grand and dream-tweaked comedy is about violence and legacy, art and activism, feminism and terrorism, compatriots and chosen sisters, and how we actually go about changing the world. THE REVOLUTIONISTS runs in rotation with WHITE as part of Theatre22s Festival of Revolution.Performed at 12th Avenue Arts, 1620 12th Ave Seattle, WA 98122October 19th-November 9thTuesday - Saturday at 8pm Saturday & Sunday Matinees at 2pmSingle Tickets: $28Festival 2-Show Ticket Package: $50
