Guilty Pleasure, a new play by Charlie Probus.

Gabriel, a youthful-looking vampire still clinging to his Catholic faith, goes to St. Cassian Cathedral where he encounters Father Noah Harris, a priest with a troubled past of his own. As Gabriel struggles with his monstrous nature and his calling from God, Harris attempts to offer spiritual guidance, only to have his own secrets exposed.

The production is partnering with local artists, who have created pieces inspired by the show. Come early to shop the exclusive collection and support local artists.

Starring: Reeve Haggard as Gabriel and Tate Kapitza as Father Noah Harris.

Set Design: SA Probus Creative Studios.

Tickets: General admission is $20, which helps support the cost of the production, but all tickets are available on a pay-what-you-want basis to ensure accessibility.

Cast

Tate Kapitza
Father Noah Harris
Tate Kapitza (he/they) plays Father Noah Harris. Tate is a 22 year old actor looking to make his mark on the acting world, and has done so with roles like Karnak in Ride the Cyclone, and as an actor with Bright Star Touring Theater performing across the country. They have been performing since sophomore year of high school, where he then attended Appalachian State University to further hone his craft. He is beyond excited to show all of his hard work and dedication in tonight’s performance. They are also a digital artist who loves anything and everything comic book related and have two cats named Clementine and Cowboy.
Reeve Haggard
Gabriel
Reeve Haggard first graced the stage at the age of nine and has been doing community theatre ever since. Originally based in their small Virginian hometown where they spent years working in a theatrical haunted house, Reeve has a decade worth of experience and a passion for immersive storytelling. After moving to Durham and taking a brief hiatus they’re beyond excited to be back on stage and especially to be working with such a talented team and on such a special play.

Collaborating Artist
Saint Graves is a Raleigh, NC based mixed media artist and published author whose works blends the arcane and the profane, the sensual and the sacred. He creates illustrated fiction, zines, and traditional and digital collage under the name Boyparts666, as well as creating loose leaf teas and perfume oils in a side project known as Twilight Garden Olfactory Alchemy. He lives with his beloved fiance and their cat Willow, who refuses to eat anything without tuna involved.

The Conjuring House is an Indigenous-owned ritual self care brand creating handcrafted candles and body care rooted in intention, artistry, and ancestral memory. Each piece is made to hold space for reflection and restoration, a quiet offering for the body and spirit. Through scent and ritual, The Conjuring House invites care to become ceremony, turning the everyday into something sacred.
Mart Champlin / Kitschy Friends
Collaborating Artist
Mart Champlin (they/she) is the multimedia artist behind Kitschy Friends, a queer printmaking project based in Durham, NC. Inspired by maximalism, queerness, nature, and nostalgia, they create hand-pulled silkscreen prints of their original designs. Beyond prints, she upcycled thrifted clothing and fabric into unique wearable art and sew-on patches, giving new life to discarded materials. Their artwork celebrates upcycling, self-expression, and the vibrant joy of maximalism; they adore creating bold pieces to adorn both bodies and homes.
Charlie Probus
Playwright/Director
Charlie Probus (they/them) is a playwright and transdisciplinary artist whose work spans performance, visual art, and writing. Their work has been seen at Brooklyn Poets, Opal Age, Rat's Ass Review, the Raleigh Fringe Festival, the Valdez Theatre Conference and the Arts Club of Washington. Charlie's visual art has found a home at the Scrap Exchange in Durham and the CoLab in Raleigh.

Ebie Britt
Lighting Designer
Ebie Britt graduated from Appalachian State University and is excited to work on not only their first play outside of college, but first production as a lighting designer as well. Traditionally an actor or costume and props technician, their most recent roles on and off the stage include Jane Doe (Ride the Cyclone) and Costume Crafts Artisan (Carrie the Musical) at App State. Ebie is excited to stretch their theatre muscles, but found a way to use their craft skills by hand-making the window gobo out of a pie tin. They hope you enjoy the show!
