Tokenization is the next big sensation, and there’s nothing trendier than a transgender. Dexterity, stamina, rhythm, speed. As sisters Telma and Sugar reflect on their lifelong rivalry following their beloved mother’s death, they begin to realize the rules of the rope are a lot like the unwritten rules for life. Playwright Josie Seid’s exploration of the way threads weave through generations is skillfully tied together with joyful Double Dutch jump-rope-inspired movement and original music.
