It’s September 12, 2001. In a Minneapolis apartment, four people fumble their way through blind dates, pizza orders, and drinking games as they push forward with life even as the world is left grappling with the unbelievable events of the day before. As the evening progresses, a series of comic and uncanny coincidences lead the group to question the very nature of free will. Who—or what—is running our lives? Are we in control of the actions we take, or are we mere puppets espousing freedom? Founding Artistic Director Scott Yarbrough directs a reimagined Recent Tragic Events—the play that put Third Rail on the map twenty years ago.
Third Rail Repertory Theatre is at 2257 NW Raleigh St., Portland, OR.
