Precipice is a new solo play conceived and performed by Damaris Webb, with a script written by Chris Gonzalez and directed by Olivia Mathews. This magical-realist work explores the concepts of place, belonging, and connection through a personal lens, asking critical questions about ownership and legacy as a third-generation Black Portlander. The performance examines the interplay between memory and identity, challenging materialistic views while embracing the narratives that shape one's sense of home.
